What You Need to Certify Faster

AI drafts the first pass. You review, certify, and sign.

Built for the people who make the record — court reporters, transcribers, scopists, and agencies. AI turns any recording into a searchable, timestamped, speaker-ID'd draft in minutes, so you can review it, put your name on it, and take on more jobs without burning out.

NEVER LOSE TRACK OF WHO SAID WHAT

Know Exactly Who Said What — Automatically

No more manually noting speakers or cross-referencing audio. AI identifies each voice and labels them throughout the transcript — so you can focus on what was said, not who said it.

  • Handles multi-party depositions with up to 36 speakers
  • Rename to real names: "Attorney Smith," "Witness Johnson," "The Court"
  • Color-coded so you can scan a transcript at a glance
  • Filter by speaker — isolate exactly what the witness said
[00:02:14] Attorney Smith:Can you describe what happened on March 15th?
[00:02:18] Witness Johnson:I was driving eastbound on Highway 41 when I noticed the defendant's vehicle...
[00:02:35] Attorney Smith:And approximately what time was this?
[00:02:38] Witness Johnson:It was approximately 3:45 PM. I remember because I had just checked my phone.
FOR COURTROOM AUDIO FROM FTR

Courtroom Recordings, Split by Microphone

Many U.S. courtrooms record on FTR (For The Record), a multi-channel system that puts each microphone in the room — the bench, the witness stand, counsel tables — on its own audio channel inside one .trm file. TranscribeLegal reads the .trm file directly, splits it into those individual microphone channels, and transcribes each one on its own instead of flattening the room into a single blended track.

  • Each microphone channel it detects is transcribed separately, not mixed into one track
  • Labeled by hardware channel — "Microphone 1," "Microphone 2," and so on
  • Rename any label once you know who was on that mic — "Microphone 3" becomes "The Court" or a name
  • Channels that stayed silent are excluded from the draft, so you're not scrolling through empty tracks
  • Same exports as any other job — text, SRT, VTT, JSON, RTF, and a QA file
What the channel split does — and doesn't — do: it tells apart microphones, not people. A mic number identifies the hardware channel the speech came through, not who was speaking — you supply that once you've reviewed it. Two people sharing one microphone (a gallery mic or a shared table mic) still come through as a single channel and a single label. This is a first-pass machine draft, not a certified transcript — check it against the audio before you rely on it.
